Vanguard Pauper

Vanguard Pauper is a format for Cardfight Vanguard in order to help new players, get old players out of meta and have an interesting time playing cardfight vanguard.

What is Vanguard Pauper?

Vanguard Pauper is just like any other game of vanguard, except there is 2 rules. You CANNOT use any cards that are higher than R in rarity. That means that you may only use R and Below cards, also the ONLY cards allowed to use from trial decks are the triggers, nothing else, you can still use the triggers from sets. So this provides the triggers needed for some decks. Also in this case PR rarity is classed as higher than R so they are not allowed.

But can we use this rule to make events?

Vanguard Pauper can be used in special vanguard events, like monthly tournaments. But it is NOT an official vanguard format, though I hope it will be sometime in the future. As long as players keep by these rules , then there is no problem using these rules in a tournament, but more importantly , try it , it's cheap and very fun, give it a go and see what its like not having to face Dragonic overlord the End or Revenger Raging form Dragon.
